A Perfect Cretan Escape – Thoughtful Luxury at Villa Nova
We had an amazing 1 week stay at Villa Nova and can honestly say it exceeded every expectation. The villa is immaculately maintained and beautifully presented, but what really sets it apart is the attention to detail. Alongside helpful staples like a fruit bowl, olive oil, oregano, coffee, water and bottle of local wine, every little touch had clearly been thought through with care and generosity. From makeup wipes in the bathroom to a bag for wet swimwear, frozen cup holders in the freezer, and a secure gated car port — Villa Nova had everything we didn’t even know we needed. It’s luxury done right: quiet, tasteful, and incredibly thoughtful. A huge part of what made our stay so special was our concierge, Roula, who was absolutely brilliant. She handled every question and concern—from transport logistics to dinner reservations—with a personal touch that made us feel so well looked after. The villa was the perfect base for exploring both Chania and Rethymno old towns, where we enjoyed magical sunset dinners. We spotted turtles while pedalling across the serene waters of Lake Kournas, ate fire-grilled lamb by the waterfalls of Argyroupoli, indulged in superb seafood at Thalami Fish Taverna, ate cheese pies made by the mother of the house at Lagos Taverna and learned about traditional olive oil production at the Mellisakis Mill. And while we visited a number of beaches, the evening we spent at the quiet one just a short stroll from the villa was truly unforgettable. Villa Nova gave us the space to unwind, the comfort to feel at home, and the location to explore some of the most beautiful parts of Crete. Roula’s support made it even better. We’re already dreaming of a return visit.
Everything was great
We just finished our stay at Villa Nova and we just wanted to say how lovely it was. Everything was great. We especially appreciated the midweek clean, the welcome wine, the provisions that we requested and Roula was fantastic. These things really made the difference!
Wonderful Villa
We had the most wonderful holiday and week in Almyrida and Nova Villa at the end of September. The Villa was just perfect, all what we wanted and more. The Nova Villa is situated in a quiet place, but yet it´s very close to amenities and to Sea, just a short walk down the hill. The scene from the Villa is amazing and calming. It was a huge pleasure to have a morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening by the pool in the Villa and watch the mountains. Yes, the Villa also had a lovely pool to get refreshed during warm and sunny days. Could not have been better. And the Villa itself was spacious and clean, fully equipped, elegant and decorated with style, and we felt very comfortable staying also inside the Villa. I can highly recommend Nova Villa for having a memorable vacation.
Wonderful on every level
We had a wonderful stay here. The location is perfect, in a nice neighbourhood, easy walk down to the beach and tavernas which are a plenty. The pool although small is actually perfect for cooling down, big enough for kids to play and really fun. The villa is clean, modern and well equipped. Some nice touches like a welcome selection of food and a bottle of wine. The owner was lovely to converse with on email and really helpful. The local host was also really lovely, spoke good English and was very helpful and welcoming. I would love to come back! We all loved our stay here! (posted on VRBO)
Fabulous villa
Wow! The villa was fabulous. In a great position with amazing views towards the mountains. We were warmly welcomed by Roula who was waiting for our arrival. The villa was very clean and spacious , perfect for 4 people with plenty of comfortable seating outside as well as in. The pool, while being fairly small, was perfect to cool down in on hot days and the waterfall was great fun. The supplies of fruit and vegetables, wine and water were very welcome and much appreciated. The only, and very small, problem we encountered was that the pillows on the bed were too large and firm for us. (Posted on VRBO)

Все отлично! Вилла полностью укомплектована для комфортного отдыха. Есть все: посуда, техника, стиральная машина, посудомоечная машина... Отличное место для авто. Спасибо за бесплатный очень поздний отъезд. Может быть тяжеловато подниматься в гору от моря, но дорога занимает 5 минут. (posted on booking.com)

Lovley villa
Villa Nova is elegantly designed and constructed to a high specification. It offers comfortable living space for up to 4 people; two spacious and airy bedrooms, each with access to its own shower room, a relaxed living room space and a handy kitchen area. It has a well kept courtyard garden, a lovely plunge-pool and its own off-street parking. The beach is just a few minutes walk away, as are the numerous bars and restaurants of Almyrida. It is a beautiful property and we had a lovely week there.

We stayed at Villa Nova for one week i october, two adlydt and two children. Villa Nova is the most wonderful place for a week’s vacation! Our girls who are ten and twelve years old, had a great time in the beautiful, heated pool while we enjoyed the sun in comfortable sunbeads. Maja (the ovner) was very helpfull in relation to answering all our questions regarding the trip, and Roula the perfect hostess. Almyrida is a small village, but has everything you need. So nice and friendly, and with a varierd selection of good eateries. We really can recommend this place!
Stunning, amazing villa
Just returned from two weeks at this fabulous villa. Absolutely superb. The host /concierge Roula organised taxis for us and always on hand via mobile if needed. The villa itself is stunning and superbly furnished in gorgeous style. All poolside furniture well thought out and extra touches in villa much appreciated. Always a bonus to have dishwasher tablets, washing machine tablets salt and pepper and lots of little extras. Would love to return again loved very much
